Subscribe with email: important things you need to know. Welcome back to another post today. I would like to talk about something that could make our life a struggle.
So, this post will help you to avoid that and ensure a good experience. If you ask how we can do that and why it’s important for us to know these things. Well, I will mention that in this post as well.
When I mention something. I like to talk more about it. And that’s what I will do with these important things. Besides that, I want to mention some important points before I start talking about them.
You will learn a lot from this post. And if you feel like this is helpful, make sure to share it with others to help spread the word and help others as well.
Subscribe with email: important things you need to know
First, I chose this topic personally because of how much struggle I get with email subscriptions. And I want to share this to help others to avoid it.
What I will mention is mixed between just things you need to know and tips as well. So, keep reading to know more about these things and how they can help to make your life much better.
Everyone has email and sometimes more than one. Just like you have any social media platform is important to you. But some of us take it seriously and some of us struggle later. Because they are not taking it seriously and consider many things.
Today will include some of the main things. And that would cost them a bad experience with emails and subscriptions. Later you will need to do some cleaning, which can be a lot of work.
This is something for anyone. Whether you are a business owner, blogger, or even just a regular person. As long as you are using email.
Then, make sure to consider these things to help you make it easy for you. You don’t want to suffer when it comes to using email for something important. Such as meetings, brands, and many other things.
I’m going to mention these things based on my experience and things I wish I know before. And I recently just had an issue and if I knew this before.
I think it would be much different. However, now that I know, I will work on it and improve. What I will mention might not be everything you need, but surely some of the most important things.
1. Too many email subscriptions would confuse you with important ones

Let me start with the most important for anyone who wants to subscribe with email to anything. You need to know that having too many email subscriptions would confuse you.
Especially if you take it seriously and have a lot of important ones. It will be a struggle to navigate and check emails from the important ones you want to focus on. Believe it or not, this is something I learned the hard way.
Having a lot of emails in my inbox made me confused and can’t find them anymore. Sometimes you will miss it and you don’t know.
Maybe spend more time trying to find it. So, I would say before you subscribe to email, make sure you have this in mind.
Try not to have a lot of subscriptions, which is the best way to avoid this and enjoy the experience of having an email.
Well, here might be a way that I will mention in this list that helps me. But that still might not work sometimes.
I highly recommend limiting email subscriptions and making sure to keep only the important ones.
If you want to have other ones, don’t add too many because it will only lead to confusion. And you don’t want that at all, you know.
2. Make sure to avoid spamming email subscriptions
Next, something that I also learn the hard way. Subscribing to spamming email subscriptions.
Which sometimes you might not notice the first time. So, now I have to find out more about what I will subscribe with email to.
I can’t make the same mistake and do it fast, but later end up getting way too many emails in a short time. That count as spam.
However, some people might lie to lead you to be on their list. Telling you something, but sending you different emails.
Well, I would say skip these people right away. It will be wasting space and not getting anything important for you.
It happened to me several times, but now I don’t want to subscribe to email unless it’s legit and can’t spam me later.
Check out more of the blog:
You don’t need to spend hours trying to clean your email subscription list. Instead, you can just follow the next tips. Which I will mention and explain more.
Because I can see a lot of people are not doing it when it comes to finding subscriptions and then asking you to subscribe with email.
Even if it was that important to focus on this one now. Later in the future, you might want to use email seriously and end up with this.
3. Be mindful and careful when using your email
Moving to the next one. And it’s something that I just recently started practicing it. Which is being mindful and careful. It’s not just for spamming email subscriptions, but also for unnecessary ones.
Since you will use email for a lot of things. Make sure that you know why and the value of you having that email subscription on your list.
Don’t rush subscribing to people or brands without having a reason why. Because they will be sending you emails and you are not going to get anything from that.
When I had my email, I would use it for literally anything that says put your email. And I end up getting a lot of emails that I don’t even want in my life or my inbox.
If you are going to subscribe with email to anyone or anything, make sure to spend some time to know more about it.
It doesn’t have to take you days to decide unless it’s something big or unusual. But most of the time it would take hours to minutes to know whether you will subscribe with email to that brand or person.
4. You need to mark the important emails for easy and fast access
This is something you can do which helps you make it easy. And it’s for the people who don’t know about it yet. I’m assuming a lot of people are already doing it.
But if you want to make it easy for you to answer or read important details. You have the option to mark them, whether on Gmail or Hotmail.
Don’t laugh at me, but I knew this late haha. Even though I can see the feature, but didn’t think of using it to make it easy for me.
And I would spend hours scrolling through my email inbox to find that email. But recently I started using and trying to make it a habit for me to do it. Sometimes it’s not that I don’t know, but I keep forgetting about it.
You can do more than just mark it. Maybe use a category to organize them. Add colors like you have in Gmail. There are a lot of things that you can do to organize emails.
I learned from a friend when I went on a trip. She told me about it and how it can be done. Which is easy to do and anyone can easily do it, but for me, I didn’t that I can do it haha.
5. Separate your work email from your personal one
If you want to make things more organized. You would want to make two emails at least for you.
One can be for your business or blog if you have one. And one which can be used as personal.
Do anything with it that is not work-related. This will help to avoid the mess and confusion between emails from brands, companies, or just for fun subscriptions.
Well, if you think this would be a lot of work. Then, I’m here to tell you that is not the case. You don’t have to spend a lot of effort managing them.
Maybe one which is the business, but the personal email will be just for fun. And you can subscribe with email to anything but consider these things before you do.
Benefits of separating work and personal emails:
- Easy to navigate and reply to emails
- You won’t miss any important work emails
- The freedom to subscribe to anything with your personal email
- More organized with email subscriptions
This is something that I learned recently and started doing it. Which helped me a lot to avoid confusion and send time to find important emails.
So, I highly recommend that you subscribe with email to anything you want but ensure you have these in mind. Otherwise, you will have a tough experience, having an email and subscription list.

Thanks for the tips. Every once in a while I will do a subscription purge and if I haven't opened any of their emails I will unsubscribe from them
Thanks these are all great tips, some I do now but a couple I need to do… so thank you
Yes super important to remember!
The best tip here is NO SPAMMING. That will get someone to unsubscribe so fast.
Email can get overwhelming. There's just so much coming in. I really like the idea of color coding emails. This would make it a lot easier to sort through messages.
I know exactly what you mean – its very easy to find yourself swamped with so many emails that its tricky to pick out the important ones. I think the key is what you mentioned in your tips – have more than one email account (as well as splitting work and personal you could go further and have separate emails for different things – personal, blogging, shopping etc).
Yeah, I appreciate you reading and sharing your thoughts with us.
True, we can get overwhelmed from it. We need to stay in control of everything.
I hate spamming emails and always unsubscribe from their email list. han you for reading!
Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts!
I'm glad you found them great tips. I appreciate you reading and sharing your thoughts!
That's great idea and would love to do it as well. Thank you for reading!
I think it's a good idea to have separate email addresses for personal and business purposes. Great tips!

Super helpful! I've been getting so many random emails lately it's getting annoying
Good topic, Fransic. Keep your subscribtions to a minimun and focusing on those that are important to you helps keeping things organised. Having too many will only lead to reading less of the ones you're interested in because the delete button becomes only too familiar. Thanks for sharing this post.
Nice! Thanks for sharing your perspectives about this.
Very helpful post. I accidentally missed an important work email just this week because it got mixed in with personal mail. Great tips.
Glad I came across this article. I get so much email I also miss some of the important ones! Good tips. Stephanie
Yeah, I miss some important emails as well. Thank you for reading!
Ahh, I see. That could happen and thats why I mentioned on the list. Thank you for reading!

Yeah, it's very important to keep things organized. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts!
Right? make sure you don't mix and get lost.
I have to admit! I always have email sign up regret! I sign up then get a million emails and end up unsubscribing!
I try to unsubscribe to emails that I never read, but sometimes just hit the delete buttons too fast! Unsubscribing also reduces the amount of CO2 so it's a win-win 🙂
Great post! I use different email addresses for different parts of my life as you’ve suggested and so glad I’ve done so. It helps prioritizes what’s important versus not.
Good advice. Thanks for sharing. It's essential to be aware and mindful when subscribing with our email to content that we can really learn from.
Great sets of tips and I wish I had considered making a seperate email for my work earlier 😅
I like the idea of swapping work and personal email. It's really smart and yes emails can be super overwhelming. Thanks for sharing!
This is so helpful! I still need to work on my email list! Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful and very useful tips! I absolutely agree with the tips. Emails can be very useful but missteps might cost a customer too. Lyosha
I have learnt to separate personal email box and business email box. It helped a lot.
These are great tips! I definitely recommend having a separate work & personal email that way you can easily tell if something is related to your blog (work) or something you bought online (personal). Also, I agree it's good to limit your email subscriptions because you can easily sign up to 100 different things, but only a few you would actually need.
Completely understand what you mean and love you tips. I would have look at these tips since I drop my email quite frequently and land up with lot of junk emails
I'm glad you find them helpful. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts!
That's awesome. Thank you for reading and sharing your feedback!

Yeah, it's it has other benefits. Thank you for reading!
I had this a lot of times. So, it's important to avoid going through it haha.
Totally get this.. I have recently started clearing my subscriptions to sites that I have not visited for or for marketing emails.. since they are way too many
A valuable tip I heard recently was to have an e-mail account you only use to sign up for stores and only check it out on your birthday, for the discounts. You save money on the offers and you save your sanity (and time and your wallet) by avoiding the email avalanche.
I see, that's actually good idea. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts!
That's awesome and we need to make sure to stay organized. Thank you for reading!
This is such a helpful post. I love going through and flagging my important emails and I've recently unsubscribed from a lot as well.
I'm glad to know you find it helpful. Thank you for reading!
