Save money live better with these awesome tips

Hello everyone and welcome to another post for this week. I turned from three posts a week to four. After I lost my content last time. Now, I’m trying to recover and post as many as possible. Anyway, today I will be talking about another self-development post “Save money live better”. It’s an interesting post and different from what I talked about.

There will be two things in this post. One, I want to mention the common tips that people know. And the second will be my tips and things that will help you. This is something everyone struggles with and I will try to share as much as possible. If you find them helpful, please consider sharing them with others. Also, I would appreciate it if you can hit the like button below.

Save money live better with these awesome tips

I know some of you already have enough tips about saving money. And maybe some of you are experts in this part and aspect of life. However, there are some parts that people might not think about. Maybe it’s in the dark for you and in this, I want to put the light on. Because it’s one of the very important things we need to know.

Something you should know. I’ve come up with these tips and ideas over time and it’s based on life problems. We may call it saving money obstacles that we need to focus on and work on. Before I started writing this post, I searched on Google about others and what they had to say about this.

Q: What makes these save money live better tips unique?

A: If you have that question in mind. Great, but I wouldn’t say unique but specific and many people struggle with it. Of course, I want to mention the common tips so that you can have an idea about them. And the difference between the ones I want to mention and the common ones.

FYI

There are two parts to this post. The first one you get to save money, and the second one is to live better. Some people think saving money means you have to suffer. Well, that would be called “Budgeting” or reducing the cost. Which you spend as low as possible. That means cutting off most of the things in your life.

Well, saving money might sound like that but it just means that your savings are getting better than your spending over a period. Which is very important for every person. If you don’t work on it, it wouldn’t be good for you or the future in some people’s cases. I highly recommend working on improving savings and reducing spending.

Q: What are the common tips for saving money?

  • Having a shopping list
  • Cut off unnecessary subscriptions
  • Going less out with friends to parties and clubs
  • Discounts and offers are your best bet
  • Explore the market before buying anything
  • Using your car less to save money on gas and fuel

Some of the things on the list above are tips that I mentioned in my previous posts. I will link them below for you if you want to check them out. However, these might help you to save money but not everything. This why today’s post I want to mention more very important things.

You might be related to some of the tips below. Because I know some friends of mine in real life are doing them. And these things that I shared these with my cousin because he asked for advice on how he can save money. He wanted to know how to learn to save money and how it can be possible while living well.

Let me share with you a couple of quotes that can be good reminders for us. I love reading quotes as well.

He who buys what he does not need steals from himself. — This is an Swedish Proverb

Many people take no care of their money till they come nearly to the end of it, and others do just the same with their time. By Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

FYI

I don’t want to forget to mention this. But when it comes to saving money, there are two people. Some are individuals that are single and others are married, parents, or in a relationship. However, the tips below are for both and you can take what works for you.

Important point

Before I start talking about the tips below. I want to share this very important point. Whether you are single or married, even just in a relationship. YOU have to set up an emergency saving account which you can’t use unless it’s urgent. Organize the money very well to ensure not get to the broke level.

Share the idea with the family/partner and plan it together

Let me start with the first and most important one. Save money being the person who provides for them, you need to share it with everyone. I’ve had some people who thought would be able to do it without telling them. Trying to buy them everything they want and still managing to save money. I’m sorry to say this, but it won’t work and you will be drowning while they have fun until there is no money.

Anyone responsible for providing money needs to share it with everyone. Even kids who can understand what you saying. No matter what, you need to get them on board to make it easier for you. Make sure to plan things for the best lifestyle possible while still saving money for everyone.

Explain to your family and close friends about your plans. I’m sure they will understand and support you. Some friends will keep asking you to go out with them. However, when they know your plans. they won’t ask as much as before.

Be more careful with machines and things you use to avoid spending money

This is one of my favorite tips and many people struggle with it even in my family. Having to buy another cup or machine because it was broken. Maybe fixing your car because it was damaged. Once you decided to start saving money and working on it. You need to also be care pay more attention to everything around you. Things that you use every day. One of the easy ways to save money.

Here are some of the things we need to pay attention to save money

  • Be careful when driving the car and parking (Avoid car damage as much as possible)
  • Don’t keep items around kids that might be damaged or broken
  • Avoid breaking or damaging any of the cooking machines.
  • When having pets in the house, you need to pay attention not to break anything.

I’m sure there are many things. Depending on what you have in the house. However, whatever is that. You need to make sure to stay safe to avoid spending money on it again. Either fixing it or getting a new one. Something many people can avoid and exercise paying attention.

Plan your meals weekly with the number of ingredients that you only need

Let me say this. I couldn’t be more excited to share this tip with you. I’ve always wanted to mention it because it’s very important. Food is one of the things we spend a lot of money on. Especially, big families and people who eat a lot. This is something you need to do to save money.

There are common recipes some families eat. And they want to try something new. But buying ingredients for the common meals and new recipes can be costly. Therefore, if you want to avoid this, make sure to plan meals for the whole week. It’s the best way to live better by having your own food that you crave or want. Some of my friends have already been doing this and feel so much more organized.

Every day you have three meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And you got 7 days a week. It can be easy for you to plan and write all the ingredients that you need. This way, you avoid unnecessary money spent. Ensure to have this as one of the goals for saving money.

Determine how much you spend monthly, weekly

A person calculating
Photo by Towfiqu barbhuiya on Unsplash

It would be nothing without knowing how much you spend each month. If you decide to save money, the first step is to determine the amount of money you spend each month. This is one of the best ways how to plan the budget but also how to save more money in your bank account.

Whether you are a family or just one person. Ensure that you know how much you spend. Going to Walmart or having a gym membership. Anything that you spend each month should be on a list. And from there, you can set up the best plan. Which is the first tip on this list.

Q: How much should I spend each month to save money live better?

A: This is a very important and great question. It depends on how much money you earn as a salary every month. Also, specify your needs and wants. Then, set up a plan that can help you to live better and save money. It’s ok to cut some of the things on your wants list.

Don’t get used to the rich life or spending a lot of money

Another very important tip and many people I know went through this. When you live a rich life such as only having takeaway food as their meals. Shopping expensive stuff and whatever they want. Go on Uber and drive the car for a long time. Maybe use delivery apps to order food. So many things people get used to and it’s difficult to stop until they have no money.

Read more of the blog:

Productive things to do at home that help to stay organized

I don’t know what’s wrong with cooking with family on the weekend instead of wasting money on delivery meals. And inviting friends over to have a party in the house instead of wasting money going to the bar and club.

Trust me, it’s not so easy to switch from rich life to normal life. You don’t consider as poor if you cook or spend time with friends in the house. However, if you get used to not spending so much money, it would be easy to control yourself and do something good once in a while.

Try to make groceries last as long as possible

Groceries list.
Photo by Maddi Bazzocco on Unsplash

Something that families and even people who live alone can struggle with this. You say I will save money and only spend it on important things. And the week is not even done and you already going to Walmart shopping. This can finish your money quickly before you even know it.

Groceries can include anything from products to kitchen stuff such as ingredients to cook. Maybe sauces and many things that we can reduce the use of it. Whatever it is, always make sure to use it for as long as possible. I’m not saying suffer because it can be live better while using it. But don’t take or put more than you need. If you can use less than you do and it is still good, that would be great.

Saving money is so important financially and emotionally. It takes a lot of stress out of the way when you save! The one thing I am clinging to as I am near clearing out ALL Debt (except for mortgage of course) is;
even when you have money, act like you don’t.

Great post. It is important to learn how we spend our money and how it affects the way we live. By knowing what living well means, we can also adjust our spending. It will be easier to plan our meals and ask ourselves if we really need that new thing we want to buy. Loved how you combined these two topics.

Great advice! We could all use money-saving tips, especially with the rising cost of everything. Regarding parking charges, check to see if there is a parking app available for your area. Often you can save so much by simply paying for the time you use, rather than a time slot.

Saving money is so important but it is definitely hard when you are bombarded with stuff all day long! But I agree that planning meals is a great way to save some cash. I usually cook for my family on Sunday for the week and this helps avoid the unnecessary take out meals that is unbelievably super expensive these days!
