I’ve been on Linkedin for a long time. And It’s part of my social media but not the main one. Because it requires a lot of attention. However, recently I found great ways to help you to grow your business. Some of the great Linkedin marketing tips that help you grow your small business.
Using Linkedin to grow your business guide
Well, as always I want to mention some important points that can complete the full picture. And allow you to understand more marketing on Linkedin. If you are fresh to this platform, don’t worry because I will explain. Hopefully, after this, you will understand more about it as well.
There are two ways that you can grow your business on Linkedin and I’m going to mention them both. And tell you what I use as well. Because this is important as it should be when you start. You don’t have to start with one until you know the other because now everything is clear and I recommend deciding from the beginning.
Ways to promote your business on Linkedin:
- Through your profile
- Creating a page for your company or business
Here are the two methods and although I have a page, I prefer to use my profile to promote. The difference between pages and the profile is followers and connections. When you have a company page, you will get followers and connections for the profile. Whatever you like to use will be your choice. However, the tips below will be through the profile.

Hopefully, you can find your niche in this platform but from my search, I tried many niches and can see people’s points. However, it’s not that many in some niches.

So, the first one is very important. You need to work on building connections with other people. Business owners that have the same niches. Maybe similar niches might help you to work together to grow your business. It might be easy to connect but make sure to maintain a good connection with them. Try to know those who accept to talk with you.
You can congratulate someone when they achieve a milestone. Also, when they achieve a higher rank in their business. Wish them a happy birthday as well. these things you can do and Linkedin give you a notification to do that. Could be a good way to start connecting with people on your connections list.
Use Linkedin to grow your business owners‘ friends list. That can help you to grow your business and find opportunities to help you with that. This is something I’ve been doing since I started marketing on Linkedin. However, I don’t have long conversations with them because I’m very busy these days.

Next, you will need to know how to optimize your Linkedin profile properly. That way it can help you to grow your business. The way how to do this will depend on why you using the platform. Some people use to find jobs and hire people. And the people who own a business, you can find their profiles are different as well.

- Add the skills and talents you have
- what business do you have and work in
There are many things that you need to focus on. And Linkedin will give you suggestions and help you to set up everything. Therefore, don’t worry and just make sure to fill in everything necessary.

Appreciate any support from people no matter how many or how small it is. Even just viewing your profile means that you doing better.

Something that I didn’t do when I started using Linkedin. Having the premium version is very good and you need to choose the plan that you want. And you need to choose the business plan since you want to grow your business. You will get good features that can help you to grow. The platform is free but the premium has good features to grow more.
There is a free month trial that anyone can use to test it. That would be a good start to getting familiar with the premium version and how things go. As you know with the free version, you would always have limited stuff. However, if you want the full potential, the premium is the way to go.
Use the featured post to introduce your business
This is one of the steps that you can use to optimize your Linkedin profile. When setting your profile, you will have the option to set up a featured post. Make sure to use it for showing people your business. Anyone that wants to check the details about you. They will have a link to your business.
