Be Grateful: 5 Things That I’m Grateful For in My Life

Be Grateful

Today’s post will be different since it’s November. Be grateful: the things that I’m grateful for in my life. There is no time better than this month to share this.

So, I don’t think I’ve posted something like this before on my blog or even my journey. I always show gratitude but in different ways.

However, it will change now, and I would love to end this week on a good note and show gratitude for some things in my life.

This is something that will be remembered because I will share my stories and things in the past about each one. It’s a kind of chilling post that is not intense.

Grab your drink and enjoy reading this post. Well, you can share what you are grateful for after you finish. Join the chat and share what you think as well.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could also share it with others.

Be grateful: the things that I’m thankful for in my life.

This is one of the posts I would call chilling posts. Where I’m not working too much on, and it’s something to enjoy.

Perhaps learn about things that you can be grateful for. Believe it or not, before, I didn’t know how or for what to be thankful for. It wasn’t easy to express myself whenever someone asked me about it.

However, over time I learned a lot of things, and today will be my first attempt to share with you guys what I’m grateful for in my life.

Not sharing doesn’t mean that I’m not grateful, haha. But it wasn’t in my mind to put it in a post as I’m not so good at talking about it. Being thankful should always be for everything, not one or two things.

Doing this is not only for things you own or do because it might be part of it but not for everything. It’s a way of showing appreciation for what you have and what you do. Even for everyone that you love in your life.

Being grateful is an excellent reminder that nothing will last forever. Be thankful for things that help you and show respect.

Something meaningful, and I highly recommend working on it. Make it a habit like I did to be grateful and show appreciation to your loved one and everything you do.

If it were for people, they would be happy to know that and reciprocate the feeling; if it were for things, it would be a good reminder.

I would need to mention one more thing before sharing what I’m grateful for. Be thankful for everything, no matter your situation.

You might be going through difficult times. But what you have could be something others are looking for.

People around that are friendly. You should be grateful, but negative people, make sure to stay away from them. Never let bad moments change your mind about being thankful for something.

1. Good health and still alive

It might not be one of the daily tasks you should do. But being grateful for good health and still alive is something that I’m thankful for.

Being alive and in good health is one of the main things I’m thankful for. I’ve had many moments in my life where I’m not healthy, which is not something someone would want to go through.

Therefore, always being grateful that you are healthy and in good shape is a reminder for me.

I love the quote that says,

There’s nothing more important than our good health – that’s our principal capital asset.

 Arlen Specter

Be grateful that you have another chance. Some people would think it’s just another day. But for others, it’s another chance to work harder.

Another opportunity to wake up and see the sun again. We can’t predict the future, but we should be grateful that we have more days in our lives.

You might not have this one but practice gratitude daily to make it a habit. And it will get easy for you to do it.

I’ve had a few moments. I wouldn’t be blogging right now if it wasn’t for God. One moment I got into an accident; a car hit me and flew into the air.

However, I was lucky to survive. It was an older man speeding, but we didn’t charge anything and forgave him for what he did. That is one of the things that made to be grateful.

2. The relationship with my partner is still going and healthy

If there is something that I show gratitude for every day is for having a healthy relationship with my partner.

Some of you know that I’m in a long-distance relationship, and it’s been one year and a few months. We are going for a second year being long-distance relationships.

A lot of people were surprised when they learned about that, haha. So, I’m so thankful we are still happy together and working to meet.

I feel lucky to have my partner. We might have some obstacles and time zone differences. But we do what we can to make it easy on it. And I always thank God for keeping us together and helping me through difficult times.

That is not so easy. Being in a relationship is tricky alone but in a relationship and long distance. Thanks for the god and my enjoyable part God, for making it easier on us.

Maybe I haven’t mentioned it before, but we met through online games. You might not expect this to be a way to meet the love of your life, hahaha.

We spent a year together playing before we officially became together because I was in a special relationship that didn’t last for too long.

How I got into this relationship is exciting, and you will be surprised if I mention it. But I will keep it for another day in the future.

3. Having a wonderful community that shows support for my work

People holding hands together as a community

I couldn’t live a day without showing appreciation for many community members. And I’m talking about the blogging community, which immensely helped me.

Always support my work and what I write. Sometimes comments make me emotional about how nice it is.

Saying some words that no one ever told me makes me super happy to read from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to everyone who supported me.

The community I’ve been in for a long time and always never failed to surprise me with the amount of support. It doesn’t have to be a lot because no matter how much.

That would be enough, and I appreciate your support for my content and work. Although I get a lot of help, I try my best to return to as many people as possible.

And show some love to some of your content as well. Well, I always try to be grateful for everything I get.

One thing I would say about this is that I started blogging with my brother and uncle. Since I was in high school it was for fun.

But no one expects me to keep blogging until today. And everyone in my family has already forgotten about blogging. Now it’s my passion and something I enjoy doing.

4. All my blogging friends I met on my journey

Since the beginning of my journey, I’ve met many blogging friends. I’m thankful for every person I met and that I still have many of them.

Well, it might not be as before, but we still help each other. And consider each other to be friends.

Although we are super busy with life, that doesn’t mean we can’t be grateful for being friends in the community. Also we are in different countries as well.

Friends that are gone also helped me with blogging. Some of the blogging things that I learned from them that I still do now. That is one of the reasons why I’m still thankful for them.

Anyone who helped me during my journey will always be thankful to me. But I wish we were still friends and still talking.

However, life is complicated; some people get too busy and can’t keep up as we are online friends.

The first few friends I met a long time back were through Facebook groups. It was my first place to look for bloggers.

And found a lot of them. I started talking to some people and made friends. But those are some of the ones we are not talking about anymore.

It’s ok, I still remember them, and maybe one day we can meet. Be grateful no matter what either you lost them, or they are still with you.

5. My vision and eyes are still in good health

This is something personal, but I want to be grateful for it. If you don’t know, I’ve been wearing glasses since I was a kid. And I have a unique eye problem. Some people might have it, but not a lot. The doctor said that it’s genetic and my family had it before.

You won’t believe how often I had to visit the doctor until I was officially done visiting the doctor. Although I’m done, it’s not fully recovered.

That doesn’t stop me from being grateful for having eyes still in good health. I did my best to make my right eye five and my left one 3.

Which is the best I can do in my case, and I can’t go any further. However, it’s still good, and I will keep it healthy. And be grateful for that.

Believe it or not, I almost lost my vision when I was a kid. The first ever time I visited the doctor was a close call before I lost my eyes forever.

My parents didn’t know anything about it but decided to take me to the hospital one day. However, the doctor gave them shocking news by saying it was a close call.

Gratitude’s ripple effect: fostering positivity in relationships

Gratitude has the power to work wonders in our relationships. When we express appreciation for our partner’s efforts, even small gestures, we strengthen the emotional bonds that hold us together.

A simple “thank you” or a heartfelt acknowledgment of their contributions can make all the difference in nurturing a strong and fulfilling connection.

Gratitude extends its positive influence beyond romantic relationships. Acknowledging the contributions of our friends and family members fosters mutual respect and understanding.

When we take the time to recognize and appreciate the roles they play in our lives, we create an environment of trust and support. This sense of gratitude strengthens our bonds and deepens our connections with those who matter most.

Gratitude’s transformative effects are not limited to personal relationships. In the workplace, expressing gratitude can create a positive atmosphere and promote teamwork.

When we acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of our colleagues, we foster a sense of camaraderie and collaboration.

This positive work environment encourages employees to go above and beyond, leading to increased productivity and overall job satisfaction.

Mindful appreciation: cultivating a habit of gratitude

Mindful appreciation is the practice of deliberately focusing on the positive aspects of our experiences and cultivating a sense of gratitude. It involves taking time to notice and appreciate the good things in our lives, both big and small.

When we practice mindful appreciation, we shift our focus from what we lack to what we have, which can lead to a more positive and fulfilling outlook on life.

One way to cultivate a habit of gratitude is to keep a gratitude journal.

This can be a simple notebook or a digital document where you jot down things you’re grateful for each day. It could be anything from a beautiful sunset to a kind gesture from a stranger.

The act of writing down our gratitude helps us to focus on the positive aspects of our lives and reinforces feelings of appreciation.

Mindfulness meditation is another powerful tool for cultivating gratitude.

By practicing mindfulness, we learn to be present at the moment and to observe our thoughts and emotions without judgment.

This allows us to appreciate the simple joys of life that we might otherwise take for granted. When we are mindful, we are more likely to notice the beauty of nature, the kindness of others, and the good things that happen to us each day.

Expressing gratitude to others is a wonderful way to strengthen our relationships and spread positivity.

When we take the time to thank someone for their kindness or support, we not only make them feel appreciated but also reinforce our own sense of gratitude.

A simple thank-you note, a heartfelt email, or a verbal expression of gratitude can make a big difference in someone’s day and strengthen the bond between us.

Finally, engaging in acts of kindness and generosity is a powerful way to cultivate gratitude.

When we help others, we not only make a positive impact on their lives but also feel good about ourselves. Acts of kindness can range from small gestures like holding the door open for someone to larger acts of service like volunteering in our community.

By giving to others, we open ourselves up to receiving and appreciating the good things in our own lives.

Gratitude’s transformative power: embracing life’s abundance

Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can help us shift our focus from what we lack to what we have.

  • When we practice gratitude, we learn to appreciate the present moment and the simple things in life.

This can lead to a greater sense of contentment and happiness.
  • Gratitude can also help us strengthen our relationships.

When we express gratitude to others, it makes them feel appreciated and valued. This can lead to stronger bonds and more fulfilling relationships.
  • Additionally, gratitude can help us create a positive emotional climate.

When we focus on the good things in life, we tend to feel happier and more optimistic. This positive energy can then spread to those around us, creating a more positive and supportive environment.
  • Ultimately, gratitude can help us embrace the abundance of life.

When we appreciate what we have, we are more likely to feel grateful for it. This can lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

So let us all take some time each day to practice gratitude. It is a simple but powerful way to improve our lives and the lives of those around us.
